Integrative therapy and embodied self-compassion in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with telehealth available statewide.
There is another way to relate to yourself — a steadier way, a kinder way.
Our Approach
At Root & Bloom Wellness, our work is grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins with learning to relate to ourselves with greater compassion and awareness. We take an integrative approach to therapy that weaves together mindfulness, embodied self-compassion, psychoeducation, and nervous system awareness. By exploring how thoughts, emotions, and physical responses interact, we help clients better understand their inner experiences and develop practical tools for navigating stress, self-criticism, and periods of transition. Our goal is to create a supportive space where people can slow down, listen inwardly, and grow in ways that feel authentic and sustainable.
Embodied Self-Compassion
We help clients develop a kinder, more supportive relationship with themselves through practices that integrate awareness of both mind and body.
Nervous System Awareness
Understanding how stress and emotions live in the body can help people build greater steadiness, resilience, and capacity to navigate difficult experiences.
Mindfulness & Reflection
Through mindful awareness and thoughtful exploration, clients are invited to slow down, listen inwardly, and make meaning of their experiences.

“Amber is an incredible therapist who embodies compassion and creates a safe and supportive space for growth. She is a steady source of light, offering guidance that feels both grounding and encouraging, even in the most challenging moments. As a fellow social worker, I’ve found her to be an exceptional fit for professionals, as she understands the unique challenges within our field. She seamlessly offers a well-balanced blend of life-coaching and clinical interventions that has allowed me to grow as a person as well as in my work roles. Amber has a heart of gold and truly cares. I highly recommend her for anyone seeking meaningful change and genuine connection in therapy. In short, Amber ROCKS! ”

“I’ve worked with therapists and coaches before, but Tim’s style felt different—more embodied, more human, and more attainable. He helped me understand my patterns, track what was happening in my nervous system, and practice self-compassion in a way that finally made sense. I’m more grounded, less reactive, and more trusting of myself.”
